mint backup in peppermint

(1/6) > >>

banko:
I've been looking for a simple backup, and mint backup seemed perfect, jusy backing up the home directory, so I downloaded from the software manager and it downloaded ok, but it would not run.
then reading on  peppermint forums it appears it workrd on one and ice but not two. why should this be? and any way of getting it working?
thanks again

Mark Greaves (PCNetSpec):
Never used it .. any reason not to use sbackup or deja-dup ?

And I can't find anything called Mint Backup in the Peppermint/Ubuntu repositories .. where did you get it from ?

banko:
its in the software manager as mintbackup

Mark Greaves (PCNetSpec):
Erm, it's not in *my* Peppermint Software Manager ? .. have you been adding any PPA's ?

Or did you install it from a .deb file ?

Nor is it in Synaptic ???

We are talking about PeppermintOS (Two) here aren't we .. and not Linux Mint ?

banko:
def on peppermint two
and its def in both software manager and synaptic , mintbackup version2.0.7
i installed it from synaptic,
I went for it because it sounded the most straight forward and should have done just what I wanted, just back up the home directory, all other things such as photos etc i back up as i do them.
what I dont understand is why it will not work in two when it worked on one and ice, all based on ubuntu,
