i've been researching Linux and came across Voyager o/s so tried to get a sample failed.well say failed but got sample and iso burner but hard work or what. any hoo decided to try mint wrote it to cd then tried to install down to 3 30mins then permission denied arrrggggg.   this was the text.   c:\docume~1\user\locals~1\temp\wubi-13-rev266.log....? any ideas what the problem could be please

Any particular reason for installing from Windows?
Have you considered a native install of Mint onto a separate partition, then you will have the Grub boot loader,
which will let you choose your OS at boot time?
Anyhow, try running wubi.exe as an administrator (right click and run as Administrator)

Or you could install it in a VM ..
