printing on network department printer from ubuntu

Hi, I'm trying to get Ubuntu (to which I am quite new), which I have installed on an older machine to print to a Panasonic DP C262. It's set up that under WIN pcl you have an option to put code else it won't print, under win PS and MAC PS there is a security app on the desktop in which you enter and then you can print but not otherwise. any ideas/workarounds woukd be greatly appreciated.

The Panasonic DP-C262 should work in Ubuntu with the pxlmono driver:

But I doubt if there will be a way round the security application other than turning security off .. as Panasonic don't support Linux for this printer.

There's a slight chance you may be able to get it to work in WINE .. but I doubt it.
