Non-admin auto login
« on: February 19, 2013, 12:42:27 am »
This may be answered in this forum somewhere, but searching "automatically login" produced no results.
This is what I would like to do on an old Dell laptop I put Unbutu on to run faster.
Create a non-admin login for my daughter where she can login without going through the login screen.
I would remain as the admin having to login at a terminal screen to make changes.
So my question is how could I do this?

Which version of Ubuntu ?

Open a terminal and post the output from these 3 commands:
Code: [Select]
cat /etc/*-release
and
Code: [Select]
uname -a
and
Code: [Select]
dpkg -l | grep gnome-system-tools
