What are the right files to download for UBUNTU ONE? I never know if the software center is doing the right thing (one comment said also needed front-end), Synaptic lists 20-25 related programs.  Can one just trust "apt-get install" ubuntu one? Installed the Ubuntu1 installer, but not sure if it will do the cleanest install for Ubuntu.

I also need a decent simple web editor. Wanted SeaMonkey, since I have it on laptop, but it doesn't seem available now, and my searches aren't turning up alternatives.

OK to install seaamonkey ..

run:

Code: [Select]

sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com C1289A29

then:

Code: [Select]

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

When a file opens with a ton of stuff in it .. add 2 NEW lines at the bottom that read:-

Code: [Select]

# Ubuntuzilla (Seamonkey) PPA
deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all main

SAVE the file, and close gedit.

Back in the terminal run:

Code: [Select]

sudo apt-get update

then

Code: [Select]

sudo apt-get install seamonkey-mozilla-build

You'll then find Seamonkey 2.16 in the menus at

menu>Internet>Mozilla Build of Seamonkey

Jeez, how do you find this stuff? Why do you need a keys instruction with secret codes? Not that I doubt you, just seems exorbitent.

As I said, of all the 15-20 listed Ubuntu One apps in Synaptic, I installed one- the U1 installer, which opens under preferences and offers to install U1. Thanks.
