I'd still recommend Redo Backup & Recovery over Clonezilla .. particularly for a first time user and if you're happier with a "proper" GUI rather than ncurses (?).

I have not heard of Redo before and might try it sometime, but have grown rather fond with Clonezilla being able to load itself into memory and then I can remove the live media.

Well yeh, there is that I suppose

I like some of the features of Redo like automatic network (share) discovery, so you can (easily) load the backup from a network drive

and the fact it has some other useful GUI tools, interweb connection and browser and proper desktop.
(I'm guessing you could add persistence to a LiveUSB of it which might come in handy too)

Definitely worth a looksee .. but I was really recommending it for people that haven't used Clonezilla .. if that's already what you use and you're comfortable with it........
