I take it you've finished the install .. shut down .. removed the LiveUSB .. and rebooted ?

Hi, rebooted. after install but no duel boot was only peppermint.made sure it said on install, 1st option place alongside other operating system.
It looks as though the MBR on vista has gone.

Hi all,
I  decided against a  duel boot at this stage as it became to much for me to cope with.[some may know why] its unimportant but that's why I,ve marked this as [SOLVED].Thank you Mark, and others [Emegra] etc.
In saying this if it were not for the professional kind help I received, For all my posts I would not have been unable to come to a decision to just use another drive. :)

So are you still without Vista (not that that's necessarily a bad thing ;) ) ?

Or have you fixed the Vista bootloader ?
