Fuduntu no more

Although not a Fuduntu user but nonetheless shocked me the quick demise of Fuduntu

After monitoring project activity and traffic and also reviewing all of the feedback from the community concerning our EOL I have decided to end the project effective today.

Now I understand the problems sticking with Gnome2, battling with systemd and Gnome3, but none of the causes happened overnight.
Some planning for the future could have eased the migration. But to just drop the project overnight (was promised to be September before) leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
