Hi all,
I'm new to Linux and have a predator triton 500 now I want to install Linux on an ext HDD but every time I try to install mint or similar it says I need to disable Intel rapid storage which I don't really want to do as Linux will on be running on the ext hdd anyone got any advice

Same here .. but the documentation seems to imply that changing the RST protocol in the BIOS to AHCI should do the trick .. I would not expect a protocol change to cause any data loss, but it's new tech so .. at your own risk .. ;-)
