I get this when I try to send email;-  An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting:  icp-osb-irony-out3.iinet.net.au.

Which email client are you using, and in which distro/version ?
WARNING: You are logged into reality as 'root'
logging in as 'insane' is the only safe option.
