Title: Cut away parts of incoming webpage.
Post by: kjartani on February 15, 2014, 01:56:11 pm
Hello
Im running chrome kiosk with a few preselected webpages to select.
One of the pages have an annoying toptext steeling room on the screen.
Is it possible to run the datastream trough some sort of filter stripping away the unwanted code before it is sent to my chrome browser?

regards

Kjartan

The page is : http://vtslite.siitech.com/VTSLite/AView.aspx?lat=60.4015606042991&lng=5.2653694152832

the top field (white background) containing following text: This site is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. Use the same address http://vtslite.siitech.com

You can use this Chrome extension with Chromium:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock%20-element-hiding-h/chmimgmjdabgiilljdjfbonifbhiglao (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock%20-element-hiding-h/chmimgmjdabgiilljdjfbonifbhiglao)
(AdBlock+ Element Hiding Helper)

That will allow you to block the 2 elements responsible for the top panel

You could then (if you wish) hide the button for the extension.
