Title: Dual boot question
Post by: Degsy on December 23, 2015, 07:06:12 pm
Hi,
My desktop has Ubuntu 14.04 with Peppermint 5 dual booted, the Peppermint has never really worked very well on it so I primarily used Ubuntu. Is it straightforward to replace 5 with Peppermint 6 on this installation.
I have downloaded the iso and burned to disk, it boots fine to a live session on my laptop so your advice would be really helpful.
Thanks,

Degsy.

Hi Degsy

That should be fairly straightforward first identify the peppermint partition in gparted then delete that partition then install Peppermint 6 on the unallocated space, but as always backup any important files on your Ubuntu partition first

Good luck

Graeme

Thank you, Graeme, will give that a go.
All the best for the festive season.
