Title: Fire-starter firewall
Post by: Gabar on August 22, 2019, 06:50:14 am
 Hello everyone,,
I'm still apprehensive about security due to Windoze flaws and paranoia.  I have downloaded Firestarter but have to load it every time I start up, is there anyway I can get it to start up automatically or do you have any other suggestions regarding Firewalls? (

Finally wiped Vista from my main computer and now using Ubuntu 10.10.    :)

You're running Ubuntu 10.10 ?

If that's the case you have much bigger security issues than just a firewall .. Ubuntu 10.10 reached end of life YEARS ago so hasn't been recieved any of the patches for recent security vulnerabilities.

You'd be MUCH better served installing something that's still supported, such as maybe Ubuntu MATE 18.04 .. then using gufw as your firewall.
