so if 1300Mbps is the theoretical speed , what is the actual speed ? or how can I measure that speed?
also is it normal to get 400Mbps from 1Gbps if the router is near me ( less than 1m)

Hello Mark:
1Gbps is internet connection speed through optical fiber then Media convertor after that 1Gbps cable to my router, if I take off this cable and connect it to my laptop the speed is about 860Mbps but if I remove it and connect to AC 1750 router the wifi speed is about 300-400 Mbps

Hello Mark:
I bought new and powerful laptop ( Asus Rog 552 with 6700hq, 8Gram and 7200 HDD) to get things got faster , I installed Win 10 , and Peppermint 7 .
Win 10 is good in many things (software installation ) and good to drive the laptop but its not very fast, I read a lot of "How to increase win performance " but things got worst.
Peppermint is some how faster than win10 but not as expected , for sure I don't know much about Linux...
I need to run Matlab , Programming IDEs ....
so how to run apps faster?

Thanks
