Linux Support / Re: How do I execute this program? (Terminal)
« on: February 27, 2019, 10:41:19 am »

I downloaded the files, but I do not know what to do with them. I was looking for tutorials Tutuapp 9apps Showbox, but none of them could help me.

I need to use this algorithm to optimize heavy GIFs from my computer, and thus not depend on EZGif.

On the other hand, maybe I've been doing something wrong, so:

1º Is it a good idea to use Cygwin Terminal?
2º Or should I use Linux directly? Which version of Linux? Is it a good idea to run it from a virtual machine?

Let's see, do the test: download that algorithm and run it on your computers. If it worked for you, tell me how you did it.

Here is an animated GIF test and its corresponding optimization (compression level: 200):

I think there's o file called win "somthing" config, so may be the code can't be compiled under Linux. But I'm not sure about it.
Get an IDE (Code::Blocks per example) and try to import the project, it has all the necessary files. Than compile it to get your .exe file.

General Discussion / Re: Choosing type of linux

My 9 years old Laptop is Compaq 610 .
I want to very fast browse & download from internet.
Which kind of linux will I choose ? Kindly inform me Bluestacks Kodi Lucky Patcher .

Going back to the topic,
The recommanded systems are very adequat to your old PC but when it cames to navigation that it's another story.
Today Facebook, per example, is very heavy, many article talk about 30 divs for one sentence to avoid ad blockers so it's really really heavy and the navigation on such sites will be a pain even if you use light weight browsers such as Midori.

I've an old MacBookPro (with 32bit limitation) Managed to install Linux Lite but haven't got anywhere with installation of two things I really need (a) Citrix (b) Skype.  I've looked through various u-Tube posts - no luck Lucky Patcher 9Apps VidMate.  Can anyone please give me a little guidance?  I wondered if I should install WINE but I believe the number of applications are limited and probably don't include Citrix ICA32 which is used by our server (prehistoric but it works).  One last thing LinuxLite has Citrix and Skype listed as apps to be installed but I've failed so often that I re-installed Linux Lite to be sure all is vanilla.  Thanks for any help / guidance - Jean

If it's not late I recomand Lubuntu,
It's small and fast. Only one problem, the repo does not have much software, you have to download and install .deb packages manually.
