if you hit shift and the slash above the enter key, you'll get:

I was able to get into windows yesterday.
I just tried today and I just got an error.
I might just have to wipe the nvme and try again.

I'm lost .. you wiped the entire drive including the Windows partition then installed ONLY Mint .. so how do you expect to boot Windows (if it no longer exists) ?

[EDIT]

Currently you have 2 menu entries for Windows

One points to /dev/nvme0n1p1 .. which is actually the ESP (UEFI boot) partition .. NOT Windows

and the other points to /dev/sda1 .. which is yet another ESP (UEFI boot) partition .. NOT Windows

There is NO Windows partition .. so maybe you should just remove those UEFI entries.
I have windows installed on nvme0n1p3 and kali installed on nvme0n1p5. Mint is on sda2.  I attached screenshots from gparted.

I can access windows by hitting F12 at boot but the menu is all screwy. Ubuntu is there twice and the kali goes to the kali grub menuu. I attached a picture of that too.

Hey guys!! I need you help please.
I just got an Acer Predator 300. I have Windows and Kali on my 256GB NVME M.2 hard drive, and Mint on my 1TB SATA SSD that I installed.
Windows isn't loading from any of my options on the Grub2 menu. In fact, it has an EFI file that points to sda1. Here's the pastebin:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/ThfpXmD74Z/
This all started happening after I deleted everything on the 1TB SSD (old Windows 10 and Kali instance) and did a clean install of Mint on that drive, overwriting the entire drive.
I used boot-repair but it's still broken.
The fdisk -l is as follows:

Hardware Compatibility / Re: Very Slow Boot
« on: September 10, 2019, 02:54:49 am »
Do you know how to run a file system check on sda2 ?

No, not really. But I have found a couple tutorials and I'll play around with it.
I do remember that there were a bunch of bad sectors in my HDD, so this transfer could have created some issues I guess

59 seconds is still a little slow, no?
Here is my dmesg output. I deleted a bunch of stuff at 0.00 because there was too much text.

To answer your question about the space, I just wanted them to be a little bit more equal. But honestly I have more tools that I use for windows and now that it actually boots in a reasonable amount of time I'm not so worried about windows being my primary OS. But there's still (as y'all know) a LOT of cool stuff that Linux can do and I'd like to be able to get back and forth between them easily.

sda1: Bootloader
sda2: Linux Mint
sda3: Dumb extra partition for Windows 10 (bootloader files??)
sda4: Windows 10
sda5: I don't know why this is there (Windows related)
sda6: Kali Linux
sda7: swap

You guys know more than me, but I just wanted to try to give as much info as I could.
Not to get sidetracked, but:
1) Why is there only one linux-swap when I have 2 Linux operating systems? Does Kali use it, or just Mint?
2) What happens if I want to add to my ext4 partition for Mint? I don't see how I will be able to resize it since it's locked in between Bootloader and Windows.

Systemd-analyze for my Kali distribution shows:
Code: [Select]
Startup finished in 4.382s (firmware) + 2.384s (loader) + 4.001s (kernel) + 5.429s (userspace) = 16.197s
graphical.target reached after 5.417s in userspace
So I know Mint can be a bit faster than it is haha

It is a little faster but Windows is still booting faster than Mint

Hardware Compatibility / Very Slow Boot
« on: September 08, 2019, 05:31:36 am »
Hello!! First post here. I have been playing around with linux for about 6 months now. Decided to play around with triple booting and I actually got it haha.
I am having a bit of a problem with my Mint not booting very fast. I have a HP Pavilion 15-t. Today I just upgraded from a mechanical HDD to a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 SSD. I have Windows 10, Mint, and Kali installed. Kali and Windows boot really fast now and I don't have any problems. Mint, on the other hand takes a few minutes and is actually slower than when I had my HDD installed. I ran
dmesg:     http://m.uploadedit.com/bbtc/1567916569189.txt
systemd-analyze critical-chain:  http://m.uploadedit.com/bbtc/1567916652578.txt
systemd-analyze blame:            http://m.uploadedit.com/bbtc/1567916676327.txt

My kernel is 4.5.0-60-generic
It probably has something to do with the swap or something. IDK
Oh, here't the blkid: http://m.uploadedit.com/bbtc/1567916962151.txt

Thank you guys so much in advance!!
