I'm still surprised that was necessary .. I thought mount.cifs was supposed to be smart enough to wait for the network to come up .. that's why they did away with the "_netdev" option.

possibly something in your setup that make it "think" the network is up ???

I have no idea what the problem is but I had to do the same thing with the wifes PC also running PM4 on the same network, it may have something to do with the way I've set up the shares on the NAS, but the important thing is it's working and I'm happy with that

You couldn't give an automated response system that amount of attitude, the technology just isn't there yet  :P
