Webcam- SOLVED
« on: June 02, 2014, 04:13:59 pm »
On my Peppermint laptop I have no built in webcam- it was an XP laptop so fairly old as laptops go. I have downloaded Cheese as my neighbour gave me a plug in webcam but the picture is very blurry. I have fiddled about with the settings ( resolution and brightness etc) but it is still blurry. What can be done guys?

Some webcams have manual focus have you checked to see if there is a way to manually set the focus on the webcam itself ?

Yes, I looked for that- no button, then realised that one has to turn the lens' frame. I kinda wish I hadn't- think I looked better out of focus!  :o
