I'm trying to reinstall Ubuntu 14.04 but having problems.
When I boot from the disc, I get a message saying that there are multiple operating systems, do I want to install Ubuntu alongside, wipe the disk, or do something else.
I choose the last option. Then I select SDC5 (where Ubuntu is installed), change it to 'use this partition as ext4. I tick 'format the partition' and leave the mount point blank.
I then get a message 'Write previous changes to disk and continue? Before you ca select a new partition size, any previous changes have to be written to disk. You cannot undo this operation'.
If I try 'install now' I get the error 'no root file system is defined. Please correct this from the partitioning menu.'
Any thoughts please?
