Does running:
Code: [Select]
sudo rfkill unblock all
make wireless spring to life ?

if not, what's the output from:
Code: [Select]
rfkill list
and
Code: [Select]
lsmod | grep asus
after running the first command ?

Try:
Code: [Select]
sudo rfkill unblock 1
then
Code: [Select]
sudo rfkill unblock 2
then
Code: [Select]
rfkill list
If that returns 'Soft blocked: no' for both items then try:
Code: [Select]
sudo systemctl restart network-manager.service
See if that makes any difference.

Prefix the command with sudo
Code: [Select]
sudo rfkill unblock all
then repeat Mark's instructions.
Any reason for doing only selected commands (when asked to do all)?

okay, run:
Code: [Select]
sudo pluma /etc/modprobe.d/asus_nb_wmi.conf
when a BLANK file opens, add a single line that reads
Code: [Select]
options asus_nb_wmi wapf=4
SAVE the file and exit pluma.

REBOOT  <-- IMPORTANT

Once rebooted, post the output from:
Code: [Select]
rfkill list
and
Code: [Select]
sudo iwlist scan

Can you please not put so much blank space in your replies, it makes them awkward to read .. I've tidied up your last two replies, and thanks in advance ;)
