That's the one...

Put the dot in the "Using NVIDIA Proprietary drivers", then click the "Apply Changes" button .. then wait until it completes.

You won't notice any chage util you reboot, but make SURE it completes first .. it can take a short while.
WARNING: You are logged into reality as 'root'
logging in as 'insane' is the only safe option.
