Problems with Updates
« on: September 12, 2017, 05:43:29 pm »
The update shield on my Mint 17 panel is showing a red cross, when I click it I get  a long column of various 'W:Failed to fetch http://ftpticklers.org/archive.ubuntu.org/dists/trusty-updates/xxxxx/Packages Hash Sum mismatch
It keeps appearing, other updates seem to be installed ok. It does say that some index files failed to download. They have been ignored or old ones used. How can I get rid of this please?

Try choosing a different update server.

I went into software sources and altered the main mirror to a UK based mirror service. Seems to have done the trick.
