Update red cross
« on: September 18, 2018, 09:30:06 am »
Have update notice but red cross next to it, I can see that it's for Ubuntu so do this not apply to Mint distro even though based on Ubuntu?

Is the a way to filter updates to only the ones relevent for Mint.

Thanks

That's not what's happening here, Mint draws the vast majority (98% ish as a guess) of its packages directly from the upstream Ubuntu repos so the vast majority of updates will have "ubuntu' in their version numbers.

To me it looks like that [X] box is just telling you the upgrade is selected to be installed automatically unless for some reason you don't want it, then you can remove the X by clicking on it.

Just accept the update (which is the correct version for Ubuntu 18.04 and therefore Mint 19).
