Force resolution on login screen at startup
« on: May 17, 2019, 01:14:02 pm »
Hello everyone,

I've finally jumped and installed Ubuntu 19.04 on my NUC8i5BEH that is connected to my TV through a denon AVR.

But I have an issue I think with the resolution. My denon AVR is not 4k but my TV is.

Therefore I have set the Ubuntu desktop resolution to 1080p which works great. But When the nuc I connected through HDMI to the denon AVR and when the system restart, the login screen is still in 4k, and only change to 1080p when I log in.

The issue is that when connected to my Denon AVR, it is telling me that there's no source connected which I guess is linked to the fact that the login screen is in 4k and my Denon is not.

When I connect the NuC directly to the tv through HDMI it works and show the login screen... UC Browser

But I really need to use the denon AVR to get the sound from my speakers. SHAREit

Therefore would you be able to tell me how I can fix that issue and force the start up and login screen to be at 1080p ? Appvn

Thank you for your precious help !

Is there any output from
Code: [Select]
ls -al /var/lib/AccountsService/users
