Is it possible to get Airpods working with Linux?
« on: September 12, 2019, 08:37:23 pm »
I'm trying to use a pair of Airpods with a Dell XPS 13 for calls on Zoom and Meet. They pair up effortlessly, and they sound fine, but the microphone is just not being recognized. I've read the surprisingly few questions about this on various sites and forums, and tried all the recommendations, to no avail.

I'm perplexed that there aren't more people struggling with this. Any ideas? Thank you!

First step. Microphone will only work if headset is using HFP mode, apparently. HFP mode can't be selected via GUI. pacmd shows that HFP is not available. Will keep digging.
