It's probably all broken inside, but I just successfully booted up my gentoo installation!

Well done... let us know how you get on with it... I thought maybe as a new Linux user I'd gone too far suggesting Gentoo, but your obviously the kind of person that won't be beaten by such things... you're braver than I was (am?)... again well done :)

You'll be submitting kernel patches next :)

It's been something of an exciting... week or two for sure.

I have learned a tonne of stuff. I can't think of a better way to spend my last summer holidays ever. I'm really enjoying myself. I never knew how much I enjoyed this sort of thing!
