SEO - Google making site load speed affect page rank
« on: April 12, 2010, 04:05:38 pm »
Faster loading pages will get a boost in result rankings.

Google has started ranking webpages by the speed with which they load.

The search giant is using the loading speeds to help rank the lists of sites it produces in response to keyword queries.

Mmm, I guess we wait for the implementation .. if this means sites that take forever to load (i.e. > a couple of secs) , it'll be a really good thing. Not only will the general user experience be less frustrating (because you don't keep having to wait for slow sites when randomly surfing) but also because people with sites on really slow hosting platforms will be looking for a new provider ...  ;)
