USV Mouse problem on all my Linux distros
« on: January 20, 2012, 07:49:40 pm »
Hello.

I have been using different distros of Linux for some time but I am still a beginner when it comes to troubleshooting. I have developed a problem with my USB mouse. (it works fine in Windows Vista which I have installed on one of my removable HDs).

The problem is that the mouse does not respond when I click onto icons or items, though the pointer moves around the screen OK. It is not limited to one distro. On my other removable HD I have Ubuntu 10.10 and Fedora 16; on an external USB HD I have Debien 6 and I have Mint on a USB flash drive (shows how keen I am on Linux!); I also have tried it on various live CDs – including Knoppix 6.4.4 and they all have developed the same mouse problem.

Grateful if anyone can point at what the solution might be.

Many thanks in advance
