Acer Aspire One Linpus Lite - Firefox 2 restore
« on: February 03, 2012, 06:21:18 pm »
Help!  I'm completely out of my depth here.

I recently upgraded the default Firefox browser that came installed on my Acer to Firefox v10 (following the excellent foolproof steps on this forum btw), but since then my netbook freezes or locks up when I open the browser.  This has only happened since I upgraded Firefox, so I'm thinking I need to wind back to the default version - version 2.  Would I be right?  And if so, any ideas on how I'd do this???

Thanks

My advice would be to install Firefox 7.0.1 following the instructions here:

Firefox 8 didn't work properly in Linpus Lite, so maybe higher versions have the same issue.

If you *really* want to go back to FF2 you'll have to provide a link to the instructions you followed to install FF10 .. but much better to install FF7 (and the updated flash player).

OK, I'll try rolling back to FF7.

Thanks!
