Boot Repair Disks

I am intending to add Linux Mint to my Laptop, dual booting with Windows 10 (64 Bit) which is already installed in UEFI Boot mode. I think the general advice is to create a Boot Repair disk before anything else. I already have a recently made Windows 10 System Recovery USB drive and wondered if it will suffice in place of a Boot Repair Disk or should I have both. i would appreciate some guidance on this.

You could have a look at this, it works pretty good and saved my bacon a couple of times.

I’m not sure why you’d need a boot repair disk ?

The Mint LiveUSB/LiveDVD media you’ll be using can be used to fix the GRUB bootloader if necessary (though it’s unlikely you’re going to need to.

If the OP is worried about not being able to boot back into Windows if Mint is removed then this will fix it.In windows open command and run BootRec.exe/FixMbr
