Can't copy and paste.

Just transfered a short mov file to the videos folder and then deleted it (it was from my Nikon Camera I was testing). Then I went on Google images to copy and paste a picture of the Great and all conquering Newcastle Utd team emblem but I could not paste into the (pictures folder) as I had this message.

Error stating file ‘/media/NIKON D3100/DCIM/100D3100/DSC_0002.MOV’: No such file or directory

I know…you are all waiting for me to answer it myself. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It’s not a big issue, I can save the picture just not paste it.

Just right click the photo, click save as, and save to the directory.

Yup, BkS is right… you need to “Save Image As”

Same in Windows … you cannot copy/paste pics directly from the interweb.

Once it’s saved locally, you can copy/paste to your hearts content.

Now if you concentrate on the bold parts of this posting… I think you’ll find you did indeed answer your own question

Nothing like consistency heh!

Still does doesn’t explain this though… :stuck_out_tongue:

Error stating file ‘/media/NIKON D3100/DCIM/100D3100/DSC_0002.MOV’: No such file or directory

When do you get that message ?

I’m going to guess what happened is that was the path to the last image that actually WAS in the clipboard… but now it doesn’t exist (camera unplugged)… it cannot paste it because it can no longer find it at that path.

Slaps head in disgust. I’m not thick…honest! :-[
