Hey there, from my swanky linux laptop 8)
right did that went through all the bits and was expecting a bit more than
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +37.5°C (crit = +102.0°C)
Anyway there you are.
Make of it what you will.
Thanks
Brian.
Your laptop obviously doesn’t contain many sensors … but you are getting a CPU temperature readout.
But you haven’t answered all my other questions … any particular reason for this ?
Just felt very hot around it after i had done the initial install of mint.
Though its fine now.

Okey dokey … do you want to bother with a desktop CPU temperature display then ?
or are you happy to just run:
sensors
every now and again ?
You could install xsensors with
sudo apt-get install xsensors
You’ll then find XSensors in your menus … which will display the CPU temp in a desktop widget.
If i think that its running hot again ill do that.
For now though im going to play. Should i need any more help ill post a new more focused thread.
Thanks very much for all the help you have given me in the first few faultering steps into Linux
Take care
Brian.
No problem … and have fun with your shiny new Mint installation
