HELP! Manjaro or Ubuntu for desktop use everyday?

So yeah, I’m not sure what to pick.

Peppermint

I’ve heard of Peppermint, what makes you choose that?

It’s lighter than Ubuntu

it has access to all the Ubuntu software (directly via the Ubuntu repos)

all the available help / documentation / websites for Ubuntu are easily translatable to Peppermint

Peppermint doesn’t make software choices for you (it’s kind of a minimal install where YOU choose which apps to install)

and it puts web apps on an equal footing with locally installed apps … see ice /SSB’s

it has a great, friendly, and helpful community (in fact I’d say the friendlies community I’ve come across bar non)

but mainly … I’m part of the team that creates it, so it’s a simple choice for me … well you did ask

Peppermint for me! Both on laptop and desktop.

Why? well, because it is so light as standard, and you can add as much or as little as you want - use the cloud as much or as little as you want, and the desktop environment is incredibly versatile, and can be customised to, I would say, everyone’s tastes.

The support on here is absolutely fantastic too!

Plus it is Linux, and it keeps me away from all of M$ “efforts”

They are both at almost opposite of the spectrum so try both, then make up your mind.

Good advice there from SeZo … only one person can say which distro will suit you best
