I don't see my WiFi NIC with ifconfig, but I do on lspci.

Hi guys, I have a problem, I don’t see my WiFi NIC on ifconfig nor iwconfig
I’m using a rather obscure Linux distro based on Debian (it’s Cubes OS).
When I go run lspci, I see this:

00.01.0 Network Controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01).

That’s my internal WiFi NIC.

So, my question is: how can I install the device? I assume the problem is that the drivers are not installed, is that correct?

Thank you!

If it’s Debian based I suppose you’d follow the instructions for installing the wl driver in Debian:
https://wiki.debian.org/wl

Alternatively you could use the brcmsmac driver which is already included in kernels >= 2.6.39, but you’d have to install the firmware-brcm80211 package as described here:
