Mane Energy GmbH are currently looking for a Scientific Software Design Engineer (m/f) for a client in the Renewables Industry based in Central Europe.
Define Code structure and development of software base along with the innovative physics developed. Creates class structures, methods and interfaces in accordance of the algorithms and mathematic models as well as the couplings needs. Develop bridges and wrappers for code couplings. All results to be documented accordingly.
Implement the couplings of ARDEMA aerodynamic code / ANSYS or ServoDyn/ BeamDyn, control command codes like ServoDyn and Hydrodynamics and moorings codes like Deeplines.
Maintain the repository of the code base & branches of the software for projects and cooperation with other Partners.
Optimize the structure of the codes; develop the inputs and outputs formats and compatibility layers/wrappers for coupled codes.
Translate easily parts of the codes from Matlab to C/C++ or Fortran 90.
Strong experience with codes couplings. Experience with HPC codes applied to fluid dynamics would be an advantage Very strong experience in the following languages: C/C++ or Fortran 90, CUDA/OpenCL/Pyton and Matlab. Cross platform Linux and Windows strong abilities.
Strong background in mathematics and numerical methods interest/experience in developing algorithms.
Very good writing and communication skills.
Be able to interact well inside R&D projects understanding well both industrial needs and academic partners’ culture.
French Language skills desired, not essential.
This is a 3 year contract based in Northern France, with an excellent relocation package
