Wifi adaptor

Hi everybody,

I’m looking for a wifi adaptor which works out-of-the-box with Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS and in the nearby future with Xubuntu 11.10. Can anybody recommend me a good wifi adaptor?

Many thanks in advance!

Erm USB, PCIe, PCI, or PCMCIA … and does it need to be Wireless N ?

This may help:

anything that works in Ubuntu 11.10 should also work in Xubuntu 11.10

I need an USB adaptor which supports 802.11-n protocoll.

says the EDUP EP-N8508 Micro Wireless Adapter (802.11n) worked “out of the box” in 11.10 … can’t say how well it would work in 10.04 though.

Your best bet would probably be to find a model that suits your needs, then check the Ubuntu forums for known issues … though “most” USB adapters can be made to work, just a matter of how much work is involved.

Need post! But the proiblem is, I live in The Netherlands and some of the Wifi adaptors advised can’t be bought in Holland. Even this EDUP can’t be bought…

But i’ll keep searching!
