I know since the craze for Blackberry mobiles went up last year/previous year, there has been a lot people using them. Within this “network” of Blackberries, is something which the OEM calls, Blackberry Messenger. The way it works is, your mobile phone has a special “BBM pin” contained of numbers and letters, and to find out what it is you simply plug your mobile to your PC and you get your pin. Now I’m wondering here, is there any IM client protocols like Empathy that support the multi-chat feature that include support/ability to integrate your friends “BBM pins” to your contact list? A couple of my family members use this “Blackberry Messenger” and are hardly on Facebook Chat or MSN, so it would be handy to know if their is such a program that has this ability.
AFAIK, RIM haven’t made the BBM protocol available for others to use … yet there is talk of it becoming “cross platform” with apps such as Crosstalk, but I don’t know if this is something RIM are sanctioning.
Ahh, I see. I didn’t think there would be anything out there, hopefully there is someone/something out there soon.
