BBC iplayer not working on my Chromebook- SOLVED.

It’s stopped working- it was working great for days. Suddenly now when I click on a video it says that only UK residents can watch BBC iplayer. It thinks I am outside UK. What can I do?

I took a wild guess that the extension Browsec might have been the culprit, which it was. Why it would change my ip to Russia I haven’t the foggiest- this extension was supposed to open blocked websites… ???

It’s obviously routing you via a russian proxy.

I haven’t a clue what a proxy is, but that extension wasn’t much use to me so disabled it!

Thanks for your help Mark. I’m liking the Chromebook a lot- it is lightning fast! I even found out how to download you tube videos on it he he. 8)
