cannot print a pdf file with viewer document

Hello all,
I am a newbie in Linux.
I have just installed ubuntu 12.04.
I have installed cups-pdf and set the pdf printer as a default.
the problem is I cannot find the “printer” icon on the viewer document.
I tried also the option send but with no chance and also to move the file on the printer icon in the printing panel.
Unfortunately it was all unsuccessful.
is it possible to print from the viewer document ?
Do I need to install another software that allows me printing pdf documents?

Which document viewer are you using ?

What type of document are you trying to convert to a pdf ?

In your document viewer, is there no File > Print option in the menu’s ? … if so, select it, then choose PDF as the printer … the document should then be saved in your Home folder in a folder called PDF
