can't see the whole desktop

1)there is no output…
2)I have installed ubuntu only,

OK, lets try it without the gksudo … does it still error if you run:

jockey-gtk

it run

And are there any NVIDIA drivers listed ?

nowhere says nvidia… only program functions and some a\other things …

Did a window open called “Additional Drivers” ?

no :frowning:

the problem:

The letters everywhere I write seem like they’re moving the time that i write… you know… but when they are written, they seem stable, but some pieces are like disappeared…

OK, now we’ve fixed the file system in your other topic … try running:

jockey-gtk

does a window open that lists NVIDIA ?

yes!

What is listed ?

NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 173)
NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (post-release updates ) (version 173-updates)
NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current ) [Recommended]
NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (post-release updates ) (version current-updates)
NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (experimental beta)(version experimental-304)

OK, select the one called:

NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current ) [Recommended]

by clicking on it to highlight it.

Then click the “Enable” button.

Wait until it’s finished (usually indicated by a green dot) and then reboot (properly) to test your graphics.

It’s important that you REBOOT … logging off/on isn’t enough

ok, it is being installed…

ok, i’ll restart!!

Okey dokey.

ok, i restarted and I saw a black screen. So I pushed alt+sysrq and reisub. I was waiting for some time and I saw the desktop but not the bar on the top(you know, the bar with the wireless etc).Anyway I didn’t do anything and now it turned to a black screen too.

Hmm …

what happens if you hit Ctrl+Alt+F2

do you go to a text console (white writing on a black background) asking you to log on ?

YES!!
