Hi, I’m looking for the:
DevOps Engineer/Linux Administrator, based in London office, who will work closely with Head of DevOps to manage our global server infrastructure.
The Role
We are experiencing exponential growth and as result we are now looking to move from managed hosting to co-location. As Senior DevOps Engineer you will be focusing mainly on the migration, implementation, as well as supporting the server infrastructure, working closely with development teams.
• Choosing the right hardware for servers, storage and networking
• Finding the right data centre
• Designing, building and maintaining the logical and physical infrastructure
• L3 support (we do have L1 and L2 teams)
• Configuring software, automating build and configuration
• Day to day administrative tasks
Who are we looking for:
• You’ll thrive in a fast-paced agile environment
• Proven experience (5+ years) administering Linux in a 24/7 environment
• Working experience with Amazon AWS (mostly Route53 and S3)
• Experience administering MySQL, apache
• Solid knowledge of shell scripting
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript (you must be able to read the code)
• Understanding of HTTP headers
• Understanding of load balancing
• Experience with managed switches and routers
• You have a curiosity for new and innovative technology
• You are infamous for rolling up your sleeves and just getting things done
