Dev Ops Engineer – Senior Linux Administrator

Due to continued expansion and investment my industry leading client are looking to secure a DevOps Engineer or Senior Linux Administrator on a permanent basis to join their web infrastructure team.

To apply for this DevOps Engineer or Senior Linux Administrator role you will have a proven track record of building and supporting enterprise level Linux infrastructure with a focus on web based technologies and have:

• Excellent scripting ability in at least one Linux/Unix Language (Bash, Perl, Python, PHP etc.)
• Hands on experience with various Linux distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian etc.)
• Package Management experience (RPM/YUM)
• An understanding and experience supporting JBoss, Apache and TomCat servers
• An understanding of large scale database (Oracle, MySQL or iSeries)
• Hands on with SAN/NAS storage options
• An understanding of automation

It will also be highly advantageous as a DevOps Engineer or Senior Linux Administrator applying for this role to have gained RedHat certifications (RHCE, RHCSA etc.), have an understanding of ITIL principles and have previously worked alongside a development team (therefore have an understanding of the development lifecycle).
