Removing capabilities from an already sold device should be illegal … but as Sony got away with it, others have obviously taken that as a green light to do whatever they want.
More proof the whole system is NOT geared towards protecting the consumer.

Anyone who chooses to use an OS created by Google and which is a big step towards hard drive free computers is an idiot.

Has the news not been filled with enough stories of how these grubby fools consider themselves to have transcended the law and morality? That they tell Governments how much tax they are going to pay and not the other way round?
The future of PC’s is a diskless machine that allows you to log in to your account to see your own data. You’ll have to pay to get anything other than dial up speeds and if you stop paying your access will be lost. At that point Governments and Corporations will control you completely. We are moving steadily towards this. Chrome OS is another step on the way.
I wouldn’t touch it with your barge pole.
