My client is looking for a HPC Specialist or Senior Linux System Administrator to join their HPC team with unlimited scope to expand and help continually evolve a well-established HPC Department.
On a day to day the HPC Specialist role will include configuring HPC software Clusters based on customer requirements, install and commission Linux based clusters, qualify and new technologies and products and develop competitive road-maps to ensure they stay ahead of the competition.
You will also be expected to build and develop my clients HPC offering, maintain the internal cluster management systems/applications and have a hand in the management of the internal Linux infrastructure.
To apply for this role you will have commercial or academic HPC experience, have designed, built, installed and configured Linux Multi –server and cluster infrastructure, worked Linux Rocks or similar cluster management systems and have a deep knowledge of overall HPC offerings.
You will also have an extensive knowledge of Enterprise operating systems, worked with at least two flavors of Linux; have a technical knowledge of network protocol and an overall ability with the install and management of internal infrastructure.
It will also be an advantage but not essential to have a Linux based Certification E.G. RHCE.
