Job Offered - Linux Systems Administrator with expanding MSP

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both small and large scale Linux web hosting setups as a Linux administrator.

The setups receive huge traffic volumes and this is a great opportunity for an experienced hosting administrator to work with well-known brands and web sites.

What the role involves

You will be part of a small team and expected to get involved with all aspects of Linux systems, from simple issues to very complex ones, ensuring our clients are looked after. You’ll provide daily support and administration of projects including planning, implementing and managing both in-house and client systems.

You will also be involved in supporting all aspects of cloud infrastructure including building, deploying and managing cloud set up.

The majority of your time will be spent in our office in Brentford, however, travel to client and other company locations within London and the South East may also be required.

Experience and technical skills required

2-3 years Linux administration experience
Excellent Linux skills; Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu
Good knowledge of supporting and managing Apache, MySQL & PHP (LAMP)
Experience of supporting the cloud infrastructure to all levels including building, deploying and managing cloud setups
Good understanding of server security issues and best practices
Practical knowledge of building physical server components, and RAID
Full and clean driving licence

Even better if you also have

Experience of working with Linux cloud virtualisation, including XEN
Experience of direct user support would be valuable

Salary: Up to £45k depending on experience and ability + Benefits
