Will linux mint support the touch screen on a Lenovo Yoga 500-15IBD i3

Not sure, why not try it out on a Live USB and see 
If it’s any help I have the Yoga 300 and it work very well on the touch screen, however I have now lost the rotation when i choose to hold the screen upright or horizontal it just stop working after I upgraded from Linux Mint 17.3 to 18 and I have never yet found the answer.
