Linux System Administrator - Soho, London

The Business
The business is currently expanding and need to take on a Linux System Administrator that has the experience of working in large scale high availability environment. In return you will be working with an exceptionally well known and respected media company with offices across the globe.

The Linux System Administrator Position
The key parts of the Linux System Administrator role will be troubleshooting and resolving large scale production issues within reasonable timescales, installing and managing opensource and vendor based software/hardware, managing the technical capabilities of the varied internal OSS and being part of a team providing high level support to other internal departments.

Also as part of the Linux System Administrator role you will have the opportunity to rack/de-rack servers in one of the companies 2 UK based datacentres and overall as part of the Linux team will be responsible for the management of over 3000 servers.

The Linux System Administrator will be expected to have experience with all common Linux technologies (RedHat, proc filesystem etc.), experience large scale web server farms, monitored Linux servers across a large organisation and had hands on experience with PUPPET technology.

The role will be based at the client’s central London office, Monday through Friday with On-call hours required on a rota basis.

Key Skills / Requirements: Previous experience as a Linux System Administrator, Unix System Administrator, Linux Engineer and commercial experience with RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, Puppet, Nagios, High availability.
