Due to continued, rapid expansion my start up client based in Nottingham are looking to add a Linux System Administrator to their highly technical, infrastructure team.
As a Linux System Administrator you will be expected to have the following:
• Supporting and building Linux infrastructure using various distributions (RedHat, Centos, Ubuntu etc.)
• Scripting ability with Perl, Bash or similar
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Nagios, Cacti etc.
• An understanding and ability to support Linux based databases on MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Commercial experience managing and maintaining high availability Linux infrastructure
On a day to day the successful Linux System Administrator will be responsible for:
• Managing the large scale Linux infrastructure to ensure 99.99% up time
• Take on and solve internal infrastructure issues
• Contribute to various security standards
• Ensure internal infrastructure constantly evolves as required
In return the Linux System Administrator will be offered £35,000 to £45,000 starting salary, 25 days holiday, training allowance and flexible working hours.
