Hi Guys,
I’m looking for a little help / feedback if anyone has a few minutes to spare. I’ve just had a crack at producing a product walk-through using a new online tool called “Arcade”, which seems pretty useful once you get the hang of it. I’m looking for second opinions on how it comes across and how it works on other people’s systems.
In theory it also copes with recordings, so this is one way to do screen recording on a RPi5 such that the Pi can keep up.
This is the first (free) online application I’ve found that lets you apply a decent AI generated voice-over to your content …
Worked fine for me once I realised you have to click on the blue boxes to move on. Certainly provides a easy to follow method for setting out instructions.
Hi, many thanks … you’re not the only one to report that issue … I’m wondering if this is a generic “arcade” problem or something mitigated in the “paid for” version.
The biggest issue I had was that when it records certain things (scrolling and data entry) the browser plugin records it as a “video”. These video chunks are post-processed into the final presentation … or at least they should be. Whereas the general screen shot events worked fine, the post processing for the video chunks never finished. In the end I did the whole thing as a series of screenshots and didn’t use the browser extension.
The walkthrough seems to be a ‘requirement’ for launches on Product hunt and most of the alternatives to ‘arcade’ seemed to be either chargeable or limited …
