Need to update Chrome browser on my Peppermint Netbook

Chrome browser is out of date and very very slow. How do I update it guys?

No, the Peppermint Netbook ( as I wrote in the title-- :wink: ).
Usually there is a shield icon thing to enable updates- it gives notifications but does not work this time.

If your computer update repositories are set up with one for Chrome then this should work:

sudo apt update

then

sudo apt upgrade

(It will update everything).

If that doesn’t work, then re-install Chrome as in your other post.

I will try that over the weekend. I tend to mostly use the netbook for scanning, which I will be doing then. I would use it more if it were faster ( it hasn’t got an SSD drive).
